Cheshire's Community Farm Wraps up Season

Boulder Knoll Community Farm in Cheshire offered harvest shares from June to October.

A 16-week schedule of harvests has just wrapped up at the Boulder Knoll Community Farm. The season began in mid-June with the last weekly share distributed on Oct. 6

Regular shareholders agree to work 12 hours on the farm during the season. A 12-hour work share costs $475 or about $30 a week.

Supporters who join Friends of Boulder Knoll are allowed to sign up first for the 2012 season. The sign up begins in Februrary. Last year, the shares filled up in four weeks, before membership was offered to the general public.
