Election 2012: Cheshire Results Update

Zupkus and Bartolomeo squeak out narrow victories. Nardello and Suzio are out.

It’s official; Republican Lezlye Zupkus on Tuesday won election to Connecticut's 89th Assembly District.

Zupkus bested Democrat Vickie Nardello in a vote of 6,209 to 5,978, narrowly winning by 231 votes. Her upset win bucks a trend in an election year in Connecticut that looked to favor both incumbents and Democrats. Zupkus, a Mississippi native, is new to political office.
