Cheshire Library Children's Programs

Register for the children's programs. 

  • Monday Storytime Mondays - Oct .24, 31, Nov. 7, 14, 28, Dec. 610:00 - 10:30 am

For children ages 3 1/2 to kindergarten.
Stories, songs, rhymes, and a craft, a great way to enhance children's literacy and social skills. To develop a sense of independence, children may stay with the librarian without parent/caregiver.

Registration begins Oct. 1.

  • Tuesday Storytime Tuesdays - Oct. 25, Nov. 1, 8 15, 29, Dec. 6 10:00 - 10:30 am

For children ages 3 1/2 to kindergarten.
Stories, songs, rhymes, and a craft, a great way to enhance children's literacy and social skills. To develop a sense of independence, children may stay with the librarian without parent/caregiver. (This is a repeat of the Monday storytime.)
Registration begins Oct. 1.

Wednesdays -Oct. 26, Nov. 2, 9, 16, 30, Dec. 7
9:30 - 9:55 am
For children birth - 30 months with parent/caregiver.
Stories, songs, and finger plays help develop speech and social skills.

Wednesday, Oct. 12
Session 1, 10:00 - 10:30 am
Session 2, 10:45 - 11:15 am
For children ages 2 1/2 - 5 with parent/caregiver.
Children will create a craft providing them with the opportunity for developing fine motor and socialization skills.
Registration begins Oct. 1.

  • Family Time

Thursdays - Oct. 27, Nov. 3, 10, 17, Dec. 1, 8
10:00 - 10:55 am
For children ages 1 - 3 with parent/caregiver.
Resource area of print/non-print material, simple craft activity, age-appropriate games and toys.This program provides opportunity for socialization and development of fine and gross motor skills.
Registration begins Oct. 1.

Fridays - Oct. 28, Nov. 2, 18, Dec. 2, 9, 16
Session 1, 10:00 - 10:30 am
Session 2, 10:45 - 11:15 am
For children ages 3 1/2 - 5 with parent/caregiver.
Stories, songs, and a craft help develop fine motor, socialization, speech and language skills.

Please Note:There will be no programs Thanksgiving week, Nov. 21 - 25.The library will be closed Veteran's Day, Friday Nov. 11, and Thursday Nov. 24 and Friday Nov. 25, for the Thanksgiving holiday.
