August Offers Two Full Moons

A full moon ushers in August and a blue moon will ease us into September.

If you believe that , prepare yourself for this: People will be acting stranger twice this month due to two full moons rising in August.

The first full moon rose Wednesday night. The second full moon in August will rise on August 31, thus earning itself the title of "blue moon."

Blue moons are unusual, according to the EarthSky website. Months with two full moons occur about every two to three years, the website stated.
