'Best Buddies' in Cheshire Ride to Support National Charity

Kelly Rosadino and Sofia Martone will take part in a 50-mile ride in early June to raise funds for the National Best Buddies program.

The following was submitted by Cheshire resident Kelly Rosadino.

On June 1, 2013, Cheshire residents Kelly Rosadino and Sofia Martone will be riding their bikes 50 miles from Carver, Mass., to Hyannis Port, Mass. in an effort to promote the Best Buddies program.

They will be riding alongside their buddy, Bobby Anthony, in honor of people with disabilities. Last year, the two rode 100 miles from Boston to Cape Cod to promote awareness of Best Buddies programs nationwide.

Best Buddies is a non-profit organization geared towards creating mutually enriching one-on-one friendships between people with disabilities and people without disabilities.

The Best Buddies program allows for the buddies to be accepted within the school community and attend outside events such as the prom and homecoming dances.

But before they can ride, they need your help. Consider donating to their cause.
