Boulder Knoll Farm Ready to Harvest

In it's third year as a community farm, Boulder Knoll has doubled the original number of shares in the weekly harvest.

In its third year, the number of memberships in Boulder Knoll Community Farm has doubled from it original offering to 50 shares for this year's harvest. The farm provides shares as part of its Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program.

Members of the CSA met Sunday for a potluck lunch, garden tour and orientation. Brenda Caldwell, the full-time farmer at Boulder Knoll, said the farm covers three acres. The harvest season will provide 16 weeks of distribution, she said.

The first distribution of produce begins on June 19 and runs until October 6. Information on the farm's website lists the produce expected to be harvested. Fruit will be offered from High Hill Orchard in Meriden.
