Collapsed Cheshire Church Rebuilt

Calvary Life Church will reopen Sunday after collapsing under heavy snow in 2011.

More than a year after during one of the snowiest winters on record in , the Calvary Life Church will reopen this weekend.

NBC Connecticut reported that the church will hold services this Sunday at 8:15 a.m. in a brand new building costing $3.5 million. Executive pastor Sam DeFrancesco said the new structure exceeds the standards of the building code.

The church roof, the Cheshire Community Swimming Pool bubble and a number of other buildings and barns in Cheshire collapsed in late January and early February when snow built up from a severe snowstorm.
