Cheshire Worker Helps Police

Public Works employee helps catch suspect, receives citizen's award.

The Town Council recognized Cheshire Public Works employee Martin Zentek on Tuesday for his help in assisting the Cheshire Police Department who were looking for a burglary suspect.

Here is the official commendation statement from Police Chief Neil Dryfe:

On May 25, 2011, Town of Cheshire Department of Public Works employee Martin Zentek was working in the Fenn Road area. Mr. Zentek observed a man walking out of a yard in the area and thought that the man was behaving suspiciously. Mr. Zentek used his town radio to contact the Cheshire Police Department and provided a description of the man and the area where he had seen him.

Unbeknownst to Mr. Zentek, Cheshire police officers were already responding to the Fenn Road area on the report of a residential burglary. The description provided by the complainant in the burglary matched the description provided by Mr. Zentek. Using the information provided by Mr. Zentek, officers were able to locate the burglary suspect as he was about to leave the area in a vehicle. Further investigation revealed that the suspect had items stolen from the burglary in his possession. He was placed under arrest and the items were recovered.

Mr. Zentek, your actions are a credit to you both as a citizen and as an employee of the Town of Cheshire. You are hereby awarded the Cheshire Police Department’s Citizen’s Award on this, the 11th day of September, 2012.

Presented by,

Neil Dryfe, chief of police

Do you have ANY scientific studies, not done by a pro-chiropractic center, that supports any of theRead More claims in this post?
