Neighborhood Buzz: Cheshire's Snowstorm Chatter

What are you up to in this storm? We've created a space to chat in, sort of like a virtual coffee shop!

The kids are home from school. The snow is super heavy — and, if you're like me, the idea of shoveling it is not really all that appealing right now.

Or maybe you and your dog have ventured out, like Mr. Bojangles did. I've always thought there was a shortage of your pet pictures on Patch. Want to help me change that?

Or maybe you're sitting in the comfort of our homes, staring out at the beautiful snow wondering what's going on out there in town.

Is my favorite bagel shop open? Is my elderly neighbor up the street OK, or does anyone need a helping hand from a neighbor? Has your road been plowed yet?

Because one of the things we like to do at Patch is connect neighbors and help people out, we've created this space for everyone to weigh in ... a community forum, if you will.

And don't feel limited to the questions above. Maybe you are making something awesome to eat and you want to share what it is with everyone. Perhaps you are looking for ideas of activities to do with your kids today, or just have to tell everyone about an awesome movie that's on TV.

So, what's going on with you and your neighborhood?

I very much enjoy seeing how pretty & pure everything looks as new snow falls. Sadly, that pretty picture doesn't last very long. where I live, maintenance is quite on top of keeping our lots plowed. We, the tenants, just have to clean off our own cars. I do have a pet peeve though. Here you go out clean your car & the snow that is plowed against you. You need to run to the store & another tenant quickly grabs your spot that you cleaned. Leaving theirs with all the snow they brushed off their car & surrounding. They clean just enough to get out of the space & take ownership of your hard work to have a clean spot!
