For the next three Saturdays, Cheshire residents will be able to tune in to Cheshire Public Access Television channel 15 to see why some are supporting the $3.2 million proposed permanent structure over the Cheshire Community Pool.
The community group Friends of Cheshire Pool produced the television program urging people to vote yes this November for the permanent solution.
The Cheshire Community Pool Evaluation Committee determined that a steel tension membrane structure was the best way to deal with the collapse of the pool bubble during the February blizzard. The option will cost $3.2 million.
"The show is intended to inform the public about the solution for the Cheshire Community Pool that will be on the referendum on Nov. 5," the Friends of Cheshire Pool said in a release Thursday. "The show discusses frequently asked questions about the steel tension structure and the reasons why this is the right solution for our community.
"Cheshire residents are urged to tune into this show and learn about the pool solution."
The show will air on Channel 15 on the next three Saturdays, Oct. 12, Oct. 19 and Oct. 26, at 6 p.m.
