Congregation Kol Ami is opening its doors for its Religious School year of 2013-2014 on Sunday, Sept, 8 at 9:30 a.m. through noon at Kol Ami, 1484 Highland Ave.
At that time, Kol Ami will be having a “First Day of Religious School Party” open to the public for all Jewish children from Pre K through Bar/Bat Mitzvah.
Members with children already in the Religious School or about to attend for the first time should attend this opening session of school. “Coffee And” will be available to all adults bringing children to Kol Ami, free of charge, provided by the Kol Ami Sisterhood.
Any Jewish child, regardless of synagogue affiliation, is invited to attend, whether their family is a member of Kol Ami or not. They will participate in a Holiday activity and attend a class of the appropriate age for that morning for Pre-K–Grade 5. Pre-K, K and 1st. grade will be free to all families for this school year.
Everyone involved with the Religious School will be available for any questions; to discuss the curriculum for the year; get together with music and art teachers and their new programs; meet other families and children, and renew friendships as well as greet new children and their families. A representative from PJ Library will be on hand to discuss great new books for all children, very young through junior high.
