Share Your Story: Girl Scouts Celebrate 100 Years

Hundreds of Girl Scouts head to 100th Jubilee on Saturday.

For 100 years, Girl Scouts have building courage, confidence and character in girls and young women across the country.

On Saturday, hundreds of Connecticut Girl Scouts — past and present —will gather at the Durham Fairgrounds to celebrate the 100th Anniversary Girl Scouts Jubilee.

The event is a celebration of all things Girl Scouts and we're encouraging participants to share their photos and stories of the event with Cheshire Patch.

It's easy! Just upload your photo(s) here and include a brief description of what's happening in the photo. Feel free to take photos before, during and after the event! It may give a girl scout a chance to earn her Photography Badge. Check with your Scout Leader!

The Cheshire Historical Society is also hoping to collect photos from the town's former girl scouts. Membrs say the Thistle Troop was formed in Cheshire in 1913, making it the first troop in Connecticut and perhaps the second in the United States.
