Town's Celebration of Fall Saturday at Bartlem Park

You know summer's over when it's time for the Cheshire Fall Festival.

On Saturday, there will be music, food and fun for residents of all ages at Bartlem Park. Headlining the event is the band Eight to the Bar, which is marking its 38th year this year.

Joining them will be other bands such as the Cheshire Marching Band and the Cheshire Community Band. Find the entertainment schedule here.

And there will be plenty of options to satisfy the palate, including booths manned by Blackie's Hot Dogs, Disorbo's Italian Bakery, Pop's Pizza, Señor Pancho's and Tasty Scoops.

The Cheshire Chamber of Commerce, who with the town sponsors the festival, also will be manning booths selling beer, wine, drinks, burgers and ice cream.

The festival coincides with the Kiwanis Club Carnival, which starts Friday at 6 p.m. and continues Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Also featured is the Richard's Chevrolet Car Show from 3 to 7 p.m. Saturday.

There will be a number of exhibits going on throughout the day Saturday, including the Cheshire YMCA Gymnastics Team, the Cheshire Youth Junior Cheerleaders and Family Martial Arts. Find the schedule here

There also will be plenty of shopping opportunities, with booths selling items such as jewelry, birdhouses and soap. Find the entire lineup here.

Closing out the festival will be a fireworks display at 8:30 p.m.
