July 1st had its own fireworks-like sounds on Sunday, thanks to a severe thunderstorm in Cheshrie that brought down limbs and left inch-size hail stones.
Connecticut Light & Power reported that nearly 800 customers were without power in Cheshire immediately following the storm. That number had dropped to about 50 by 8 p.m. on Sunday.
