Adopt a Bluebird Program at the Library

REGISTRATION REQUIRED.

Join the Town of Cheshire in an effort to create suitable nesting houses for our native bluebird, an important species of the suburban environment.

Loss of habitat and competition from introduced bird species have contributed to a significant population decline in the past several decades. Individuals, families and groups are invited to construct a bluebird house from a kit provided by the Town. The nesting box will then be installed on town property and the participants will monitor and report on the use of the box.
