How Are Your Allergies?

Researchers say pollen counts are increasing each year - are you sneezing your head off?

Full disclosure: I have allergies. Seasonal allergies that make me want to gouge out my eyes and rip my nose off my face. And each year they seem to arrive earlier, stay longer, and make me more miserable.

How about you?

"The 2011 spring allergy season was a miserable one, with record-breaking pollen levels, just as the 2010 allergy season was before it," reports ABC News.

A study published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences found that the length of ragweed season in various areas of the country increased by as much as 27 days between 1995 and 2009. The culprit? Climate change, the researchers said.

And if you do suffer from seasonal allergies, be glad you don't live in Knoxville.

If you're looking for natural remedies to allergies, Women's Day magazine has a list of options:
