Bovano's Retail Store In Cheshire To Close

The store closing will mean seven people will lose their jobs, but the company will still maintain its production facility and sell products online.

The retail store that is part of Cheshire's Bovano Industries Inc is set to close within a few weeks, meaning seven people will lose their jobs.

Bovano, which sells handcrafted sculptures, announced it will be closing its retail store on Route 10 in Cheshire, meaning seven people will lose their jobs, according to The Republican American. The company will offer deep discounts on all products within the store until it closes, according to The Republican American.

Store owner Jim Flood said a down economy, along with the high cost of doing business in Connecticut, is the reason the store is closing, according to The Republican American. He said local people can no longer afford to buy the sculptures the company makes and sells.
