Cheshire McDonald's Adds Pastries to Menu

Scones, muffins and banana bread on menu board

There's now a pastry choice to go with the $1 coffee at the at 850 S. Main.

The company announced it has added five bakery itmems to the menu: cheese danish, blueberry muffin, multi-grain berry muffin, banana bread and mini vanilla scones. The new items are available in New England and the Albany, New York area.

Cheshire McDonalds owner Rachel Deane said baked goods appeal to New England customers.  “Whether it’s grabbing a bakery item for breakfast on the go or stopping by for an afternoon snack, our customers now have more affordable and portable options when they visit our restaurants," she said in a statement.

Keeping with the trend of offering lower fat and calorie items, the new pastries include whole grain oats and fruit such as blueberries, raspberries and banana puree. The multi-grain berry muffin contains 280 calories, has zero grams of trans fat, according to the company.
