[VIDEO] FroYo Lounge for Cheshire's Summer

Look for a summer opening of the new Froyo World.

With flavors such as berry swirl and honey lavender, the timing couldn't be better for a summer opening of FroYo World in Cheshire.

Owner William Bok of Branford said he plans to open in Maplecroft Plaza in late June or early July. "It's got a lot of foot traffic. It's a pretty good location," he said in a recent interview.

Bok plans to hire up to 10 employees for the Cheshire store, he said. Applications are available on the company's website.

Billed as Connecticut's "first self-serve frozen yogurt lounge," the small franchise company is already operating in New Haven and will open its doors in Hamden in a few weeks.

Froyo World will be located in the former Hallmark store at 191 Highland Ave. where a large window banner was installed earlier this month.

In an earlier interview with Branford Patch, Bok said he plans to launch 50 stores in the next year. Potential franchisees should act quickly, he said. "You’ve got to catch the wave while it’s small."
