Froyo World to Open in Cheshire

Frozen yogurt franchise to open in Maplecroft Plaza

A frozen yogurt franchise is expected to open this spring in the former Holly's Hallmark store in Maplecroft Plaza. The small franchiser, Froyo World, is based in New Haven.

A company representative couldn't be reached for comment, but a contractor on Wednesday said the store at 191 Highland Ave. is expected to open in May.

Froyo World bills itself as "Connecticut’s first self-serve frozen yogurt lounge." The company plans to open six locations in Connecticut this spring, according to its website, including outlets in Cheshire, North Haven and Hamden.
