Just six days into summer, some of the Good Humor ice cream trucks have a shortage on favorite flavors that could continue throughout the season, according to a Huffington Post report.
Toasted Almond Crunch, Chocolate Eclair and Candy Center Crunch are on back order for the trucks and won't be available until at least the end of July at the earliest.
The shortage is the result of an unusually warm spring and early summer in other parts of the country, coupled with a shutdown of a plant in Pennsylvania that produces the ice cream bars. The plant's operations are being consolidated with another facility.
But don't despair. The shortage effects only Good Humor truck sales. The boxed variety of those ice cream treats can still be found in the grocery store.
