IKEA Recalls High Chairs

Children have fallen from the high chair prompting the recall

IKEA has recalled nearly 170,000 high chairs after several children fell from them when the restraint belt unexpectedly came loose.

Consumers have reported the falling hazard for ANTILOP high chairs sold at IKEA from Aug. 2006  - Jan. 2010 for about $20. The plastic chairs were sold in red, white and blue colors.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission directs owners of the high chairs to immediately stop them and contact IKEA to obtain a free replacement seat restraint.
