Small Business Forum in Cheshire

Initiatives for job creation and business growth explained at town-sponsored forum.

The and will hold a business forum on Feb. 28.

Business initiatives by the Connecticut Department of Economic and Community Development (DECD) to spur job creation and business growth will be explained at the free event. 

State Rep. Mary Fritz (D-Yalesville) and a representative from DECD will provide information on these new programs:

  • The Job Expansion Tax (JET) Credit  
  • Small Business Express Program

The small business program provides low interest loans and matching grants for

  • working capital
  • training
  • machines and equipment purchases
  • construction 
  • leasehold improvements

The meeting will be held at beginning at 7:30 a.m. with a light breakfast followed by the program from 8:00 to 9:00 a.m.
