Visions for Vacancies: Leasing Out Cheshire Hall

The tall hall space would make for some perfect commercial opportunities, but the question is what? What is fit for the Highland Avenue location?

Let's call this a modern spin on community planning - Patch's version of a charette, a digital drawing board where all ideas are on the table.

Each week we'll present a new vacant building and ask you to tell us what you think would be the best use. Forget what zone it's in, ignore setback regulations, dump lot coverage rules and all the other zoning jargon that puts people most to sleep. If you had your way, what would you like to see there? What would be the best use for the community?

The Highland Avenue location has plenty of space, no matter what your commercial need. Just a short drive from I-691 and I-84, the location could suit many different options.

The building stands several stories tall and has the make of an upscale commercial hall. But renovations are an option and the possibilities are endless.

So what would you put there? What's the best way to fill up the empty lot?

Tell us in the comments below.
