MidState Celebrates 15th Anniversary and Healthgrades Award

Over 100 staff, physicians, and members of the community gathered together at a special Business After Hours event held in conjunction with the Greater Meriden, Quinnipiac and Cheshire Chambers of Commerce on Sept. 19. During the event, in which guests celebrated the hospital’s 15th anniversary, MidState President & CEO, Lucille Janatka, was also presented with a trophy honoring MidState as a 2013 recipient of the Healthgrades Outstanding Patient Experience Award. The prestigious recognition ranks MidState among the top 15% of hospitals in the nation when it comes to the experience patients have at the hospital.

Local dignitaries were also in attendance to offer their congratulations and citations, including Meriden Mayor Michael Rohde; Deputy Mayor Matt Dominello; Representative Hilda Santiago, on behalf of Senator Christopher Murphy’s office; Representative Buddy Altobello; Representative Al Adinolfi; and Matt Abdifar from Congresswoman Ety’s office. Thursday, September 19, was proclaimed as “MidState Medical Center Day” in the City of Meriden.
