Looking for Lego Donations

Announcing the formation of a “Legos™ Club” for children and youth in foster care in northwestern CT!

Beginning this summer, Foster Adoptive Mission, a community collaborative, will be offering foster families the opportunity to participate in a monthly get-together for kids of all ages. Each month kids will get to play with Legos™ and have their finished creations displayed in various locations in and around Waterbury, Torrington and New Britain. A different theme will be introduced every month (e.g. Skyscrapers, Desserts, Pets, Dinosaurs, etc), however, kids will be able to choose not to follow the theme and simply be creative! In order to make this happen for the kids, we need folks to donate Legos™, lots and lots of Legos™, in order to make this happen. We will be collecting new or gently used, clean Legos at the following locations:

  • Torrington DCF office, 62 Commercial Blvd – ask for Jennifer Bellamy
  • Waterbury DCF office, 396 West Main St – ask for Jackie Vidal
  • New Britain DCF office, One Grove St – ask for Dina Kelly
  • Community Residences Inc. 732 West St, Southington – ask for Jennifer Kay
  • Wheeler Clinic, 91 Northwest Dr., Plainville, – ask for Penny Kobles
For additional information on local drop-off locations or if you are interested in displaying our kids' Lego creations, please call 203.706.0101.
