Bloomin' Beautiful!

What's in bloom in your Cheshire garden this week? Share your garden's glory with your neighbors in this new weekly column.

By mid-May the irises were beautiful in their wave of yellow. Last week, the peonies got all the attention. Elsewhere in the garden, the purple stalks of Russian sage provide a dependable and long-lasting bloom.

Then there are the roses, perhaps the favorite flower of many Cheshire gardeners. Whether it was the mild winter or rain at just the right time, the roses are abundant this year. I cut a bouquet this morning to bring inside and tucked in one last bright pink peony.
