The Petit Family Foundation has issued the following statement on its Facebook page regarding the Sandy Hook Elementary School shootings:
"We would like to extend our deepest sympathies to all of those affected by the tragedy in Newtown. It is utterly disheartening to see that such violence still exists. The Petit Family Foundation hopes to do something appropriate for the town/school/victims when we see what their needs are in the long run. We will be keeping the victims and their families in our thoughts and prayers throughout this very long healing period."
