School Reform Bill Seen Changing Teacher Evaluations

But Cheshire School Supt. Greg Florio said he doubts much of the rest of the new state law will effect the town's public schools.

School Supt. Greg Florio said that new teacher evaluation standards might be the biggest change for the local school district from the state’s new educational reform bill, which toward improving public schools in Connecticut.

According to an article by the Record-Journal, Florio said the new bill requires annual performance evaluations of teachers, principals and administrators based on standards developed by the Performance Evaluation Advisory Council.

Otherwise, Florio said local residents should not see much additional impact on Cheshire schools from the bill.
