What's Open, What's Closed on MLK Day

Today is a federal and state holiday as local residents are asked to remember Martin Luther King Jr. See what's open in Cheshire.

Jan. 21 is considered a holiday in observance of Martin Luther King Day. State and local government offices are closed but many retail businesses will remain open:

  • Cheshire Town Hall: Closed
  • Cheshire Public Library: Closed
  • Cheshire schools: Closed
  • Banks: Closed
  • U.S. Post Offices: Closed
  • State Government Offices: Closed
  • State courts: Closed
  • Liquor stores: Allowed to Open
  • Supermarkets: Open
  • Retail stores: Open
  • Restaurants: Running on their usual Monday schedules.
