College Financial Aid

The College Maze: Navigating College Financial Aid will be
the topic of discussion at the Cheshire Public Library on Thursday, November
14, 2014 at 7:00pm. Jennifer Philips will present the talk. She has been
helping out parents and students navigate through the financial aid process for
the past seven years.  Two years ago, she took on the position of
Education Director for the Association of Builders and Contractors.  In
this position, she is responsible for developing all program policies and
procedures for their Education Center.  This experience in combination
with being Fairfield University's Assistant Director of Financial Aid for six
years has given her a greater perspective on financing the various types of
education that are out there. Although she has limited her outreach to area
high schools with respect to advising parents on the financial aid process, she
actively counsels parents and students in her private practice as a financial
aid consultant.

Jennifer graduated from St. Michael's College with a
Bachelors degree in Psychology and obtained her Masters in
Industrial/Organizational Psychology at Fairfield University in May of 2009.
