Lauralton Hall is excited to announce that the Furniture Barn & Manor House in Cheshire will be exhibiting student art work from February 2nd through March 1st. The public is invited to attend the opening reception on Saturday, February 2nd from 12:00-1:00pm. The Furniture Barn is located at 535 West Main Street in Cheshire.
“The Lauralton Hall Fine Arts Department tries to exhibit artwork in Connecticut communities whenever possible” says art teacher Kimberly Rosenberg. “It’s a great experience for the students to see their work in a ‘real-world’ public setting outside of school.” Lauralton Hall senior Liza Leonard is thrilled to have her work on display. “My piece is a gouache painting of the Unitarian Church in Westport. I chose cool, vibrant colors that I thought would highlight the interesting architecture of the building. I can’t wait to see it hanging on the wall!”
