The Cheshire United Methodist Church will usher in the Christmas season with its popular “Road to Bethlehem” live, drive-thru nativity on Saturday, Dec. 8.
Visitors will be transported to Christ’s birthplace to witness 10 scenes from the bible’s Christmas story – all from the comfort of their vehicles. This year’s nativity will include an expanded cast of live animals including sheep, a donkey, goats and a llama.
This moving experience has become a favorite Christmas tradition for many residents of Cheshire and surrounding towns. Last year, around 600 people visited the nativity. The event raised more than $550 for the Cheshire Fuel Bank.
The event takes place from 5 to 8 p.m. in the parking lot of the church, 205 Academy Road. Admission is free but donations of cash and non-perishable food items will be accepted for local food and fuel banks.
For more information or directions call the church office at (203) 272-4626. In the event of inclement weather, please call the church office for cancellation notice.
