Ground Breaking Ceremony at The Cornerstone Church

The Cornerstone Church in Cheshire will be holding a ground-breaking ceremony on Sunday, October 6, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. to initiate the construction of its new church building. Cornerstone has experienced tremendous growth over the last three years and launched a fundraising campaign last year called “Building Up.” Under the theme of “Build people, to build the building, to build more people,” Cornerstone has established a significant capital fund and developed plans to begin construction of a state-of-the-art new church building, capable of seating around 500 people, along with a Commons Area that can be used for events.

“I am so excited to see what God has done in our Church body,” said Pastor Eric Bucci. “We have simply run out of space to effectively minister to those in need. It has been great working with the Town of Cheshire on obtaining the necessary approvals, and I look forward to being able to serve the community in an even greater way with this new facility.

Cornerstone is inviting the public to this ground-breaking ceremony. Construction will take place throughout the coming year, and the new church building should be ready in mid-2014.

The Cornerstone Church is located at 1146 Waterbury Road in Cheshire. Cornerstone focuses on building people in Christ and believes that the Word of God (the Bible), the transforming power of the Holy Spirit, and the fellowship of other believers is what changes us to become more like Christ. Cornerstone offers a number of ways to connect with our community to help you grow in Christ including: Sunday Services; Life Groups; Men's; Women's; Young Adult; Youth & Children's ministries, and various other ministries.
