Youth Rugby

Cheshire youth rugby is back for the 6th season! The program begins on Saturday June 14. There are now 3 separate age groups to offer a safe, fun experience for kids of all ages:

Grades K-4 - Flag rugby, non-contact, similar to flag football. Open to boys & girls.
Grades 5-6 - Intro to contact (we'll start with flags & safely transition to tackling). Boys only.
Grades 7-8 - Tackle rugby. Players will safely learn how to play contact rugby. Boys only.

Rugby is the perfect sport for kids of all sizes and abilities. The emphasis at all levels is on learning skills, teamwork, and having fun! No experience or equipment is needed. Rugby is the newest Olympic sport and will be added to the 2016 Olympics. 

Practices are held on Thursdays & Saturdays starting Saturday June 14  for 7 weeks. The program is open to residents of Cheshire, Southington, Meriden & all surrounding towns. To register & for more information visitwww.CheshireRugby.com
