Please join us for Southington's First Annual Walk Like MADD. Registration begins at 8:30 AM. Walk starts promptly at 10:00 AM from the Southington Green. Families with children, friends and all concerned citizens are welcome and encouraged to join us on this 3 mile walk through downtown Southington, south along the Linear Trail to Plantsville, and then north up Route 10 to end at the Green. Form or join a team to raise awareness and funding to support victims of drunk driving and raise awareness with teens on the dangers of underage drinking.
A marketplace of vendors will be set up on the Green as well as health, educational and support services booths. April 21st is also Power Talk 21, the day set aside annually for parents to discuss the dangers of underage drinking with their teens.
