What's Open, What's Closed on the Fourth on July

Today is a federal and state holiday in observance of Independence Day as local residents celebrate the birth of our country.

Happy 4th of July! Most things are closed today to observe the country's birthday so make sure to call ahead if you're headed out:

  • Cheshire Town Hall: Closed
  • Cheshire Public Library: Closed
  • Cheshire Schools: Out for the summer!
  • Banks and U.S. Financial Market: Closed
  • U.S. Post Offices: Closed
  • State Government Offices: Closed
  • State Courts: Closed
  • Liquor Stores: Open! (Thanks in part to the new law!)
  • Supermarkets: Call ahead, most are open.
  • Retail stores: Call ahead, most remain open while some will close.
  • Restaurants: Mixed bag. Make sure to call as many have announced closings.
  •  Parks: Open
