What’s Your Favorite Christmas Ornament?

Once a year, we pull out boxes of Christmas ornaments, but they’re so much more than just ceramic, glass or wooden decorations. We all have those ornaments that make us smile and remember a certain moment in time.

I love looking at all the ornaments purchased while on trips. When you take the ornament out of its tissue paper, nostalgia is following close behind.

With Montana’s ornament comes the mountains and how neat it was to see snow in July. Seashells carry with them summer breezes and countless trips to the beaches of Cape Cod and Connecticut. A witch sitting on a golden moon is a nod to Salem, Mass.

This year, a friend of mine came over with two Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle ornaments and put them on my tree.

“Don’t you want to keep them for yourself?” I asked.

He told me he didn’t have a tree and so, he put them on my tree. And a new memory is born.
