Wondering when cut-your-own Christmas tree farms in Connecticut open? We've got you covered!

At first, I thought it was too early to share info on where you can cut your own Christmas trees in Connecticut. But then, I read a Facebook post from Jones Family Farm in Shelton that said people are already asking when tree cutting begins!

Then friends started making holiday playlists and talking about eggnog … it appears people are already hankering for the holidays — or at the very least, preparing for them! Here’s your list of Christmas tree farms in New Haven County.

  • Broken Arrow Nursery
  • Opening Date: Friday after Thanksgiving
  • Hours: 11 a.m. to dark on weekdays, 8:30 a.m. to dark on weekends  

  • Joseph's Tree Farm
  • Opening Date: Day after Thanksgiving
  • Hours: 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on the weekends; 3 to 5 p.m. on weekdays, or by appointment

Middlebury

  • Busy Acres Tree Farm
  • Opening Date: Day after Thanksgiving
  • Hours: Noon to 3:30 p.m. weekdays; 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekends
