Stay busy and active when quitting smoking

Staying busy and active when you quit smoking can help to reduce withdrawal symptoms and cravings. Keep your mind busy by planning activities that you enjoy during your free times. Keep yourself active by walking, running, climbing stairs instead of using elevators, pacing while talking on the phone, or doing other activities. If you don’t have the time or space to walk or run, try doing push-ups or sit-ups until the cravings have passed.
