The Annual Blessing of the Animals at St. Peter's Church on Sunday
More than four dozen dogs received a blessing from the clergy at St. Peter's Church in Cheshire on Sunday.
held a Blessing of the Animals ceremony on Sunday which attracted 50 dogs, two birds and a cat who talked their owners into bringing them to the annual event.

The Blessing of the Animal ceremony is held in remembrance of the feast day of St. Francis of Assisi on Oct. 2 who loved all creatures great and small.
