Antoinette "Anne" M. (DeBellis) Pettine, 97, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2014, at her home at Elim Park Continuing Care Retirement Community. She was the loving wife of the late Henry L. Pettine.
Mrs. Pettine was born on June 11, 1916, in Waterbury, daughter of the late Amilio and Enrichetta (Mancini) DeBellis. She was a graduate of Waterbury Catholic High School and attended Naugatuck Community College. Anne worked as a secretary for many years and was a longtime communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Waterbury. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and quilting.
Anne is survived by her daughter, Marianne Izzo; her granddaughter, Melissa M. Izzo of New Haven; her daughter-in-law, Linda F. Pettine of Wallingford; and her brother, Sebastian DeBellis and his wife, Diane, of Waterbury; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to Henry, her husband of 65 years, Anne was predeceased by her son, H. Louis Pettine Jr., and her sister, Vera LoRusso.
The funeral will be held 9 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 25, 2014, from Maiorano Funeral Home, 95 Willow St., Waterbury, to Our Lady of Lourdes Church for a Mass at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday morning from 9 to 10 a.m.
