Diane L. (Ballard) Gajewski, 64, of Cheshire, passed away after a short battle with cancer on Friday, Oct. 18, 2013, at MidState Medical Center. She was the loving wife of the late Donald P. Gajewski for 28 years.
Born June 14, 1949 in Meriden to the late Harold and Shirley (Eick) Ballard, she had been a longtime Cheshire resident. Diane worked at MidState Medical Center for more than 18 years.
She is survived by her two children, Scott Gajewski, of Cheshire and Kathy Hackney, of Queens, N.Y.; and four grandchildren, Brittney, Katelynn, Devin and Gabriel; and two great-grandchildren, Haylee and Isabella. She also leaves behind her brother, Hal Ballard and his wife, Janis, of Plantsville; her sister, Patti Faust and her husband, Ronald, of Plantsville; her sister-in-law, Joan Alia, of Meriden; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Linda Brandt.
Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
