Cheshire Obituaries: Frank R. Pawlow Sr., 83

Mr. Pawlow was the Director at Goodwin Technical School in New Britain. He was a former member of C.S.E.A and an avid Dallas Cowboys and Boston Red Sox fan.



Frank R. Pawlow Sr., 83, of Cheshire, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 4, 2014. He was the husband of Louise (Munz) Pawlow.

He was born in New Britain on June 13, 1930, the son of the late Frank E. and Margaret (Murphy) Pawlow. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran of the Korean War. Prior to his retirement in 1987, Mr. Pawlow was the Director at Goodwin Technical School in New Britain. He was a former member of C.S.E.A and an avid Dallas Cowboys and Boston Red Sox fan.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Frank R. Pawlow Jr., and wife, Beth, of Burlington, Brian S. Pawlow and wife, Marion, of Bristol, Lisa J. Rapp and husband, Gordon, of Kensington, Eric M. Pawlow and wife, Patricia, of Wayne, Pa., Barbara Gabriele, of Shelton and Kenneth Yoder, of Seattle, Wash. He also leaves nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother, Robert Pawlow; and a granddaughter, Victoria J. Rapp.

Services will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 8, at 7 p.m. at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St. Southington. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. A memorial service will be held at Elim Park at a date to be announced.
