DEP officer should have been called to get the bear away from the property. Lets face it we can,t be killing everthing that comes on our property, the bear was probally just looking for food. Was the bear calling the man on ?

No issue with it, bears are becoming a lot more prominent and if he is nosing the in garbage you can expect him to return and start to possibly get territorial around the home. On that same note, why are we allowing the deer population to explode. I'm shocked there is not more done for control on this since they are absolutely everywhere, alongside every road and highway in the state. Get with the program and start controlling.

This is an interesting "story" about a man getting arrested for misdemeanor bear shooting. Or is it a non-story about an idiot who uses his illegal pistol, not even in self defense, and then hands it over to police who promptly arrest him for felony possession of a pistol? You decide...
