Cheshire Dunkin' Donuts Robbed at Knifepoint

A suspect made off with $250 from the South Main Street store late Thursday evening, police said.

Cheshire police are searching for a man who robbed a Dunkin’ Donuts at knifepoint late Thursday evening.

According to police spokesman Lt. James Fasano, a suspect walked into the 310 South Main St. store around 10:30 p.m., flashed a knife at the employees and demanded money.

The employees handed over $250 in cash and the suspect then fled the scene, police said. No one was injured in the incident.

The case remains under investigation, however the building has since been reopened for business. There are no photos available yet of the suspect, although Fasano said police police are investigating whether any were taken.

He said investigators are asking anyone with information to contact the Cheshire Police Department at (203) 271-5500.

Crimes of this nature aren’t too common in Cheshire, Fasano said, but they do happen from time to time.

“When it does occur, we put all of our efforts into solving it,” he said.
