Cheshire Man Arrested for Breaking Into Cars

A Cheshire suspect is charged with crimes in Hamden.

 

A Cheshire man was arrested recently after allegedly breaking into and rummaging through several cars in Hamden.

James Digangi, 26, of 625 Tamarack Rd., was charged with two counts of third-degree burglary and two counts of criminal attempt to commit sixth-degree larceny.

The arrest came after Hamden officer Mark Atwater responded to a report on Oct. 30 of someone tampering with motor vehicles on Dunn Road, according to police.

Atwater found that the person had entered two cars and rummaged through both, allegedly looking for personal items, according to police spokesman Capt. Ronald Smith.

Digangi was released on a written promise to appear in Meriden Superior Court Nov. 30.
