Cheshire Man Charged With Selling Marijuana

An 18-year-old town resident is due in court next week to answer to drug charges.

A traffic stop on South Main Street last week ended in an arrest of a Cheshire man accused of drug charges.

Eaven Stevenson, 18, 393 Spring St., Cheshire, was pulled over by a Cheshire police officer on Dec. 27 at 6:48 p.m. for an equipment violation, police said.

After an investigation at the scene, Stevenson was taken into custody on charges of possession of marijuana with intent to sell, possession of drug paraphernalia and a conspiracy to commit both crimes.

Stevenson was released, although police did not specify a bond. He is due to appear in Meriden Superior Court on Jan. 10.
