[UPDATE ] Sexual Assault Arrest in Cheshire
Bond doubled on charges of kidnapping and sexual assault.
The Hartford Courant reports that 42-year-old Mark Altieri of Cheshire allegedly kidnapped two women in Cheshire early Saturday at knife point and sexually assaulted one of them.
Altieri, of 55 Horton Ave., was arraigned Monday morning in Meriden Superior Court. According to the Meriden Record-Journal, his bond was raised from $500,000 to $1 million. He is charged with first-degree sexual assault, kidnapping and other crimes.
The Courant said reports show that the women, ages 18 and 42, said Altieri sexually assaulted one of them in a local home.
