Cheshire Police Conducting DUI Checkpoint Next Week

Police will be on the lookout for unsafe drivers on Aug. 31.

The Cheshire Police Department Traffic Division will be conducting a DUI and safety checkpoint next Saturday, Aug. 31.

Officers will be looking for impaired drivers between the hours of 6 p.m. and 2 a.m. and will also be conducting seatbelt compliance and various equipment issues.  

Motorists may experience a brief delay while going through the checkpoint. The Cheshire Police remind people to buckle up and not drink and drive, police said.
